Week 3 (07/21-07/25)
07/21 to 07/25 5 half day Monday-Friday 1:00pm-4:00pm $250/camp Location: 16100 NW Cornell Road Suite 210 Room 2This Math Competition Camp/Class for Grade 4-6 will focus on learning and practicing the problem-solving skills with the materials from all the following 3 contests. Students enrolled in this class will be invited to the online adaptive learning system for the Math League contest.
The Math Olympiad camp/class will stimulate enthusiasm and a love for mathematics. It will teach major strategies for problem-solving and develop mathematical flexibility in solving problems. The goal is to strengthen the problem-solving skills of all students.
Math League expands on basic math concepts taught in schools by using more challenging questions and word problems, requiring students to use critical thinking to complete each question accurately and in a timely manner. All questions must be finished in the allotted time, and due to this constraint, the course is focused on practical strategies to quickly and accurately answer these types of questions.
Math Kangaroo is a great way to introduce elementary school students to the world of competitive math. An interactive competition complete with prizes, the test is not based on knowledge but is rather replete with puzzle and logic-type problems. Math Kangaroo is open to students in grades 1 - 12, the competition offers 24 problems to be solved within 75 minutes for grades 1-5 and 30 questions for students in grades 5 and up.
